Hello everyone, I'm a newbie, hoping to find a buddy to go shooting around. I"m a 40-ish local Chinese guy, my nick Old Flower implies I am Long Sighted, but hey, I see better through the viewfinder of my A700! But more importantly, I endeavour to sharpen my Mind's Eye in photography - old flower or not. Interested parties kindly drop me an email at old_flower@yahoo.com.sg I hope to form a small party of max 4 people - dedicated shooters, regardless of level. I see myself as a Beginner crossing over to Intermediate.

Hey thanks for your compliment, but I am really a newbie - not shooting for money yet. Yes I noted quite a lot of outings posted, but I will need to squeeze time out to do so. However, I'd personally prefer shooting in smaller groups of max 4. Too much interaction, can break the vision I seek in my mind. Oh and I booked the A900 not knowing how much it is, but have recently heard it is around S$.5k to S$5k or slightly more with the vertical grip. This A900 should be my final purchase - I hope.... |

Hi Ming, From the beginning, I was much into Landscape. But until recently (last year 2007), I gravitated towards Portraiture. I have a problem in this subject matter; I don't possess very good People Skills I make my subjects nervous because I look too serious when shooting. I like Macro too, but only moderately, as I've yet to find my subject matter in Macro Art. Still searching. (oh btw, Macro shooting kills my back mostly..I have a bad back) you see, many problems I have - growing old no good. But I am quite partial to Night Photography, that is if I can fruitfully shoot between 5pm to 8pm and head home - I get sleepy early and don't wanna fall asleep driving home! |

Oh and the other topic I'm currently studying on my own is HRDi. I find images of any subject matter, look gorgeous in HDR. But I also note that over-doing a picture in HDR can be ghastly (as Simon in American Idol would remark). |
