When I was younger I can hand held on a film camera at 1 second with flash.
When started digital on Canon 350D, I cannot.
Now with A700 with super steady shoot, I can again.

But seriously, Sony super steady shoot help but the best is still to do the following :-
1/ Hold the camera like what "excelglsi"
2/ Try to use shutter speed 1/( 2x the longest focal length of your lens ) i.e. if you use 18-70 lens, the minimum shutter speed should be 1/140 second. If you use a 50mm lens, shutter speed should not be lower then 1/100 second.
3/ If you need to use slower shutter speed, do 1/ or put on a tripod or a steady surface.
It is okay to be slow, as long you never stop.

Yep, I knew Willis since the late 80s to early 90s.
Way back then when I was with Yamaha.
