hmm depend on what u want to shoot...if want to shoot far better bring a telephoto lens.

I think 18-70 should be good enough for landscape shoot, but bring a tripod if you have one, since the outing is from 5pm till maybe late..so that you can do some good night shoot as well.

There used to be lots of birds at the wooded areas next to the park connector... I used to go there often..

Now they demolished and flattened the area ... quite sad lor..

Else can go to Sembwang Park, around Andrews Avenue to shoot macro or White Throated Kingfisher or Collared Kingfisher (dunno still around or not)

you just missed the outing to Republic Poly last week.

If anyone interested I can arrange a mini morning outing around Sembawang ...

There are some old british houses there .. need to check up a bit..

Otherwise I also know a little stretch of little canal off Andrews Avenue (can get there by bus), that leads to the sea .. can wait for kingfisher there.. or shoot some insect macro.. But that place full of mozzie and sure get feet wet.. not for faint hearted..

Used to cycle up around Sembawang... but I not been cycling there for ages... need to recce the place a bit before can be sure any outing worthwhile.

If you shooting 18-70, probably need some close up filter for insect macro. IS OK if old building shoot.
