the pain of the analog digi cab strikes again.... i've heard this problem repeated too many times with everyone i know who bought an analog unit (except those that don't care too much abt rH accuracy or don't even know it can be adjusted!) .

i wish they'd just make them all digital.

Hihi Bro Trigger

How i wish i had know you before i fall into the analog setting trap. :(

Thanks Bro Shadow,

Just curious cos the power setting seen weird, 50% power reduction, give 10% RH increase. The Maths abit off for the dry cabi manufacturer.

If yours is just the digital meter readout model, it's the similar to the analog model with a digital readout. Digi-cabi refers this as "Digital Display AD Series", model AD-xxx

The "digital" type the bros are referring to are the "Digital Humidity Controlled", model DHC-xxx.

analog you set rH with a dial, digital you press "S" to set, then up/ down buttons to get desired rH.

analog you set, wait, check, and repeat until you get it right. digital is fire and forget. HOWEVER, there is always debate abt how accurate the hygrometers are in the first place but thats a different discussion altogether.

Ok mine gone through a few days of testing with another hygrometer I bought from hardware store. Call this control Hygro for discussion sake.

Digicab hygro reading shows 30%RH while the control Hygro shows 51%.

On another dricab, the difference between control and dri-cab is less than 10%RH..

How can the percentage varies so much?
