*Flashing News*Email trigger on Alphadslr forum is now working.

To setup the email trigger for your account:
Just go to preference, select "Email & Subscription Settings" and Topic/Forum subscription alert type as "Alerts by email"..

For thread tracking, you need to manually enable it for each thread. Once you're viewing a thread, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Locate the option "Track Topic" which appears to the left of the Board Time.

From the page that loads you can select the notification type you want.

can advise on what type of lens to be use on the show.

I only have 18-250, 16-80 & 70-300 or 50 1.7 with A700

I shot at vivo fashion show last week.
70-300 or 18-250 will be good enough i think.
16-80 is not long enough.

18-250 good enough..

it allows you to capture the wide as well as tele in an instant.. 70-300 can me used if you need extra 100mm reach.. but you will lose the wide part.. :(

if u intend to shoot at high iso
avoid using Dro + or advance(Dro- is ok)
switch to creative style standard or neutral,
sharpness setting at 0+
if necessary use flash, unless there a strong spotlight,

Ya I guess 18-250mm would be adequate.

Used that to shoot a Hangzhou performance there a few months back. Did not bring a flash, but got pretty good results.
