Man behind the camera, not the camera in-front of the man

You can own the best and most expensive equipment, but the photo u taken can be taken by anyone who owns cheaper equipment than yours, what does that means?
Everyone know how to take sharp photos with good lens, but do u know how to take good blur photos with fantastic lens?

haha yup i agree that in order to capture a good picture, the photographer is infinitely more important than the camera.
but still, that doesn't stop us from being a bit of a gear-head sometimes does it?

DSLR becomes IT product nowadays, and the new model life cycle is very short. Save your money 1st and don't need wait for too long you will see A300/A700 price drop (when replacement out). Then buy for a big jump.

BTW, use the money that you want to upgrade A200 to buy a good lens (most likely you need to top up), your photo will be much much much improved than upgrade to A200. :D

BBB lens! Good lens accompany you no matter what cam body you upgrade, e.g. 85mm f1.4, 70-200mm f2.8.

Camera bodies depreciate, but lens, especially the *G*ood ones doesn't. :)

It's good to invest in some good glasses and wait.

Equipment can help you to a certain extent, but it's not all that mattered...

The a100 continues to be well utilized in my equipment line up. :)

If you are regularly on assignment, and shoot in very demanding situations where your current equipment regularly falls short, it's worth considering a change.

And if that's so, it's recommended that you leap frog to a higher level in the equipment class instead of just buying stuff from the same class as the upgrade might not always be substantial enough to fulfill your current and assignment needs.

yup i gotta agree that photographer is more important in taking a good picture, and good lenses are better 'investments' than camera bodies =)

but i also think that a camera body CAN (not that it always does :B) make the process of taking photos more fun and enjoyable, especially with the recent explosion of liveview dslrs. i always loved the idea of being able to use the tiltable lcd + liveview to shoot pets and animals, easy to get to the ground level perspective of them!

but having said that, no more purchases nor upgrades for myself in the near future! cannot buy too much dslr accessories at one time :thumbsup1:
hmmm... but i still need to get extra battery pack...more memory cards...dry cabinet...external flash...macro lens...remote cable release... in the near future...

hahah!! DIE LAH! HOW TO TAHAN!?!

yOu dOn'T have dry cabinet yet then aim for 2nd body?!
Haha. advise you to buy cabinet 1st to keep your system away from fungus.

Cabinet, 2nd batt and memory are more important. Macro lens and flash are subject to what you shoot.
