hi people, anyone of you use Corel Paint Shop Pro? Just wanna find out what are your comments about this piece of software. it looks a hell lot cheaper than photoshop, and seems to have most of the important features that photoshop has. I just downloaded the trial version, and has been pretty impressed with it. Only downside is the less intuitive user interface (something that you can get used to) and its slower than photoshop in displayed previews of settings. also about capture one 4 raw processor, anyone tried it? i downloaded the trial version too! i must say i'm very impressed with it! i love the intuitive feel of the user interface! Never used Adobe Camera Raw nor Lightroom before, so cannot compare. But it trumps the Sony Image Data Convertor in my opinion :b I think Capture One 4's noise removal is a lot better than the one in Sony's IDC, but too bad the trial version doesn't allow me to process into a jpeg so that I could use it. So, any experience or comments with the above 2 mentioned softwares to share? Cheers mate! weisheng |

Capture one Pro 4's raw rendition is smoother, with much finer grain ... but it spectacularly screws up cRaw rendition... Just waiting for it to be corrected with the next release. |

Oh haha... well, Capture one just.... replaces dark places in the photo with... Horrible stuff... a colour burst that looks like a shower of confetti in a ticker-tape parade. |

Well, I think Photoshop is industry standard. Capture one pro is nice, but still having issue. Because I buy all my software, so I will only have software I need... Also more stuff on computer meaning clog up the space. Regards, Hart |
