*Flashing News*Email trigger on Alphadslr forum is now working.

To setup the email trigger for your account:
Just go to preference, select "Email & Subscription Settings" and Topic/Forum subscription alert type as "Alerts by email"..

For thread tracking, you need to manually enable it for each thread. Once you're viewing a thread, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Locate the option "Track Topic" which appears to the left of the Board Time.

From the page that loads you can select the notification type you want.

Hi Pals,

I've started compiling problems and faults related to the Alpha Flashes.
Flash Problems

Hope that this could be a reference point for repair costs etc.
FYI....my first 5600HS(D) flash tube blown after more than 5yrs of use...

Haha Bro Sulhan, I have more to add..

It cost around $150 (including labour) to replace the flash broken hotshoe base for F36.

I subsequently bought the part for half the cost, and replaced it myself in 5min. 5min labour can't be that expensive!

Anyway, if interested can check my previous threads for pictures (opening up flashes). Please do not attempt on your working flash though.
