New Balance Fresh Foam Zante My first run in the Zante newbalancesale.top was on a very cold day, and I felt that the sole was very firm, much like that of the 980. After running in them in a variety of temperatures for the following several weeks I¡¯ve come to think that the Zante is a tad softer than the 980, moreso under the heel (as with most shoes, the sole feels firmer in the cold). The midfoot through forefoot are firm and responsive, and unless you are a heavy heel striker that¡¯s probably how you¡¯ll describe the Zante experience. However, when forcing a harder heel strike (I¡¯m a light heel striker) I was better able to feel the softness of the heel and the smooth transition from heel to forefoot. I think the Zante will appeal to both types of runners, and it¡¯s interesting how different the ride feels depending on how you contact.

A few days ago I put up a first look review of the much anticipated New Balance Minimus New Balance 574 cheap sale Road shoe. Well, the next day the UPS man stopped by again, this time with a box containing Minimus shoe #2, the New Balance Minimus Trail (disclosure ¨C this was a media sample and was provided free of charge). Of the two, this was the one that had me most intrigued since rumors had suggested that it was the more minimal of the two shoes (it is). I wasn¡¯t disappointed. It¡¯s rare for me to find a shoe that nears perfection in almost every way, but my initial gut reaction is that the Minimus Trail comes pretty darned close. As I did with the Minimus Road, what I¡¯m going to do here is give my very initial thoughts on this shoe ¨C you can expect that more will come as I run more miles in them.

New Balance ¡°updated¡± the MT101 in the form of the MT110, but the reality is that the 110 was a very different shoe. New last shape, firmer feel, just not the same shoe. And some portion of the MT110¡¯s that were released were built up excessively under the lateral forefoot, leading to a slanted sole that my posterior tibial tendons did not like.

I¡¯d be interested in trying the Fresh Foam 980 Trail, but it¡¯s definitely one that I will have to try on before purchasing. I won¡¯t buy another shoe on the Fresh Foam platform if the fit is similar to the road shoe. The toebox i New Balance 576 sale usa n the 980 trail does look a bit more rounded in the photo above, so I may give them a try if my LRS decides to stock them. In the meantime, my buddy Sam Winebaum wrote up some thoughts on the 980 Trail after a few runs in a pre-release sample.

IMG_2737 Summary Rather than dwelling on additional details, I¡¯ll simply say that this shoe works, and it works very well in a lot of situations. I¡¯ve done intervals in them and they felt great ¨C ver New Balance 990 cheap sale y responsive when running fast, just enough longitudinal stiffness for speed.
