Hello, Decided firmly that I will let go this lens. The lens is in Mint Condition in original hardcase. This is a very very rare lens. Probably even rarer that the 85mm f1.4 Limited. However, price won't come cheap... if you want to own one of the rarest lens in Minolta line up... this is your chance. There is no focussing ring, because there is no need to. at f5.6 you will basically get anything from 1m-infinity sharp, at f8 (which is my favorite), it will be sharp as close as 0.3m to infinity. So you don't have to worry about manual focusing. With MD-AF adaptor, you are able to use it on Sony/Minolta/KonicaMinolta DSLR and of course if you want full round circle image, you can use it on older manual Minolta SLR. The asking price is $1500 (yes, it is expensive... but if you want to be one of of those who own rare lenses... this is your bet). If you just need any FE lens, cheap $400+ Peleng is good enough. If you want quality build, quality image, then this is one to look for. For sample images taken with this lens... you can visit my blog at http://tomatophotojourney.blogspot.com/search/label/Holiday I am away until end of the month, so there is time to think about. Actually found one on eBay... http://cgi.ebay.com/Minolta-7-5-4-MC-X-Rare_W0QQitemZ280062609707QQihZ018QQcategoryZ3342QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247 Not mine, but at $825 plus postage and also GST, you can just calculate how much. Plus buying MD-AF adaptor and postage and so forth, so I think it will easily hit US $1000 which is around S$1350 for something less than perfect. You can take a risk paying $150 less if you prefer... Also the lens is obviously has been open for cleaning and servicing... I now think the price I set is pretty reasonable as mine is Mint in original Hard case with Md-AF adaptor. But the choice is yours. Few queries, but no confirmation....
