haha!~I am slimming down my collection..concentrating on primes now... might even sell my beercan as well...really depends on how much the new FF cost.....might go into Medium Format instead. my ideal collection will eventually be 28f2, 50f1.7, 100f2....as for 200mm and above..havent tot about it. |

May anyone explain why this lens is so special compared to similar range at F2.8 e.g. minolta, tamron, sigma? Just wanted to understand, haven't come across a vivitar lens before. |

This is a very old lens which is no longer in production. So if you can get a copy with very minimum wear & tear, you better keep it. Moreover this is the 20th Anniversary edition, so there are some value behind it. You can google to read up a bit about Vivitar, I believe there should be some info. |
