#7![]() Does this image even look HDR ? It is my first attempt ... I used a few shots with different exposure compensation and merged them together using CS3. Please feel free to share more pointers ... I think HDR is interesting but only if executed correctly. |

Hi Peter, For me, I use HDR when: - the scene that I'm capturing has a large dynamic range (i.e. very bright and very dark areas) - my subject is against a bright or dark background and I want both to be captured sufficiently well-exposed it depends on what you want to portray in the scene.. if background isn't impt (e.g. in most portraiture), then no need HDR.. if both subject and background is impt and if both cannot be captured in one exposure, then use HDR (e.g. bright river laid against dark floral background).. from your photo and its title, it appears that you want to portray the rock buildings? I'd say that no need HDR cos the surroundings are rather messy and doesn't really play a part in enhancing the overall scene.. instead, I'd darken them a little to give more focus to the subject.. |
