D4nie, Thanks for sharing your personal tips on getting the winning photos. Beside this, I think you are good in linking the shot you want with the theme. That is something not everyone has. "An advice to those who want to try photo competition, do not feel limited by the camera or lens that you have. As you can see in the above photos, most of my winning photos are not taken with a very expensive lens. Another thing that I observed is that most of my photos that won in a competition were shot purposely for the competition (after I know the theme). I did join some competition by submitting some photos which were taken before a competition, but most of the time I didn’t win. So, I believe that you have to take the competition seriously if you want to win" |
