Oh no.. mixed feeling.. On 1 hand I am happy to get a flat.. but on the other.. the queue number sucks..and Punggol breeze isnt the best of location.. at 158 out of 186 available flats.. are my chances of getting a good flat (good view, location, high floor) non-existence? Furthermore.. Punggol Breeze is in a worse location than Punggol Sapphire ( which we applied but never get).. 2 LRT stations away from MRT... Should i take it? Or start looking for other BTO projects? Is it true that once I apply for another BTO.. my allocated place for Punggol Breeze will be forfeited? Bros here.. please share your advice and experience! |

158/185 ... I think left the below 5th floors only liao ...Just to share my happiness for a while , i was number 13 to choose any one of the New 4 Blocks of 25 Storeys 4/5 Rooms at Clementi Heights few years ago ... But due the Price of the house , i cannot afford 5 Rooms , i got a 4 Rooms , 20th Floor . Buying a house is not easy , you need to have special feelings with it . If you like it , somehow , in the end , not matter how long queue or left the last 20 units for you to choose 'One' , you will be happy with it also . Otherwise , do consider to wait for another Offer . Cannot play play now , Houses not cheap anymore . |

ah.. the sunrise shooter ![]() hey, actually if you guys get the place in punggol you can shoot maaaaannnny sunrises hahaha... if you want my 2 cents worth, first i'll ask - what's wrong with the place? a little "ulu"? give a new estate time and it will grow. when i moved into tampines 20 yrs ago the interchange was along ave 5, by the roadside, all dusty. 15 yrs ago, tampines bloomed into a bustling town. same for sengkang. looks like its developing nicely. as for queue, well i guess most of the choice units would have gone by then but there's always lvl 14 which many Chinese are too superstitious to take haha.. or lvl 13, the ang-mo-pai ones will avoid them. you'll never know what's left! on the other hand if you rejoin the queue, i assume thats what happens, will you be guaranteed a better position upstream? personally, i'll buy a place because i like the locale, not whether the MRT/ LRT runs underneath it. and 2 LRT stops is actually very near. in time to come you will appreciate the quiet of being away from the main MRT station. close enough but not too close. unless you like a noisy neighbourhood or think such flats will fetch a higher resale value. ![]() sorry if i contributed more to your headache. |

Thanx for your replies.. =) oh.. its not that ulu.. but not exactly close to the town centre.. we r just scared if we take punggol breeze.. and some future BTO project come up right at the town centre.. den we will feel wasted... haha... yeah... bad queue number... but at least guaranteed a unit if we r not picky.. hopefully the people in front will take the lower units since they are cheaper.. hhaha... but i think chances for high-floor really very very slim.. (i wanted the top floor... since I don't want any neighbours living on top of me making noises..looks like no chance liao) thanx for bringing a new perspective into things.. I initially wanted as close a location as possible to the MRT for convenience sake..and also it will be safer for my family when they go home in future.. (no need to go by ulu places at night).. think I will bring the SR shooter to see see look look the area more.. yeah.. if we do live there..can shoot many sunrise and sunset.. =) |

Hi When I bought Florida @Hougang Ave.7 in 1998. It is very "ulu". There is no MRT or LRT. Only a bus to Koven interchange but comes once in a long while. Have very good view on the Sungei Serangoon. Love to see the many birds flying pass especially on raining day. Great Sun rise with forest "looks" like mountain. Now Hougang has MRT, 15 minutes walk and 3 bus stop away. But my view is blocked by another Condo Rio Vista. Cannot see birds anymore. Only see the sun in certain time of the year. Remember things change in Singapore usually quite fast. What you like when you first bought may change. It is easiler for me to get around now. It is less "ulu" but the peace is still there. Need to walk to the river for better view or wait for the time of the year to see the sun. If you like the place now, buy it. Love and learn to love the future changes. By the way can fly kite @ your place ?? Edited by FrederickYKFoo, Sep 4 2008, 08:06 AM.
