Hello guys... Selling my beloved NAS server with 2x 500GB drive installed. This drive is primary used for "End-result" Back up for Archive purposes. I can't seems to get it work with mac, and have been running it through PC and access through wireless and I am in the process of condensing my workflow. I need something more mac friendly, hence selling it. If you just need the enclosure only, happy to let go at $150 (think Sitex is selling for $209) Price is negotiable. Regards, Hart |

Have one of those too. Affordable yet works really well. Makes my data safe and easily accessible. Never tried it on Mac before, but i'm pretty sure it'll work with Mac. Tried playing with the HDD format (eg. FAT32)? How about an FTP client? Uppzz for the good price!! (so good it tempts me to get one more) |

The 323 is a network based storage, it should be running on XFs file format. The data bits will be converted through Samba from your pc/mac before transferred into the 323. No reason why it should not work with a Mac. Consider the Buffalo LinkStation Pro Duo? It runs on Raid 1 and it is certified to work with Mac. |

aiyoh bro.. you're an engineer! haha... ok, i don't hv my mac in front of me, in Finder, iirc, go to "tools" and select "connect to server", then type afp:// followed by the ip address of your NAS drive. however, you need to ensure that Appletalk file protocol (afp) is enabled on the NAS - this is usually not on by default. to do that, connect to it via the admin page/ ip address on your PC, and make sure afp is enabled. you shd be able to see the NAS from the Mac, and supply your ID and password to connect (admin account would do unless you want more control/ restriction over access). |

Ok, I still have no idea how to make it work.. Anyway, if anyone interested, selling it for $150 for the enclosure only. I will keep the HDD for my own use. RRP for this enclosure is $239. Regards, Hart |
