the 1.7 i mentioned is KM, the 1.4 too. not sure if sigma made the 1.7 50mm. 2nd hand copies of km50mm going for about $180 on avg currently.

$180 for a KM50mm 1.7?? ^o) that's quite a bargain... if only pple is selling lah... :ashamed:

as for exposure with onboard flash, try shooting in "M"anual mode, and play around with your shutter speed. lower speeds will allow better exposure of your bg.

Only after the studio shoot then i realise how handy the ctrl buttons are, on the A700 & A900.. :banghead: I got to manually go to menu to set the F stp and shutter speed.. :faint:

that's where an "old" cam like the 7d would come in very handy for quick f-stop adjustments as it has a second dial for that. as for shutter speed and aperture, if you use Manual, you can use the front and rear dials to control them.

After a few shots, I realised the flash adaptor connected to the horse shoe part is quite flimsy, a bit shaky. : Is it normal for all flashes? Wil the mounting break if I turn too often? :faint:

hi Rleon,

ALL my flashses are loose when mounted. got a simple solution for u and others to fix this. u'll need scotch tape and a penknife.

cut a small strip of scotch tape (abt 5mm) and paste it on the underside of the flash shoe.

should be tight fit. when the tape wears off, just replace.

sorry just happen to read through this topic as i have the same problem wif loose flash F42am too

underside of the flash shoe as mean the inside rite ?

Hi, as I am also looking for a Flash, may I ask bros here about the shops to get their flash, notice not many ppl selling their flash, thus its available from the shops directly only.

Getting from Sony Style is probably the most expensive, can advice on the pricing and shops to get the flash from? Been spending since CNY till now on filters, lens and camera bags.... omg...
