Shadow, were you able to take close up shots with CZ 16-35mm ? As in is it possible for it to take a really close up shot? Would it be wise to get this lens for say portraits + walkabout lens or CZ 24-70mm f2.8 ? I have A300 + CZ 85mm f1.4 as my portraits set up... Could you guys share some experience with me please? I love my CZ 85mm... but then again.. when walking around... i really feels that my kit lens is better (tho i miss the "bokeh" thingy)... need some help... |

Hi Bryan, Min focusing distance for 16-35mm f2.8 CZ is 28cm is I am not wrong. So it really depend on what close up shot you wanna take. The weight of this lens 860g, so if you ask me if its a good walkabout lens, well, in terms of wideness, yes. Again, the max range is at 35mm. But in terms of weight, probably not. It all depend on individual shooting style. Get both the 16-35mm and 24-70mm, you will then have the best of both world. But frankly, I say again, I am in love with this beauty after testing in. Am in the mist of doing editing of my last wedding shoot done last weekend, taken with this lens. Will post some photos once I have them ready. |
