Some not so scientific test on the bokeh.. hand held, so the focus distance is different.
Any difference btw CZ and KM lens?

Haha..

So I am right...

Should try 200mm, 300mm, then 400mm at same distance to subject.

As you get more tele and closer to subject.. it gets milkier :)

No. The CZ has the better bokeh. It's less "busy", with smoother highlight edges.

Emeritus Alphadslr Official Passerby~shooting badly since 2004 and continuing

The G 28-70mm had a very poor mfd...thus making the comparison a bit difficult would like to see the 100% cropped of each shot at the same distance

Hello CZ! bye bye G!

That is true. That is why the 28-70G shot is further than the rest

The 16-35mm CZ.. as compare to KM 17-35mm. Well it's like the CZ 24-70 compare to 28-70G or KM 28-75.
Sharpness at wide open - center to edge on the CZ is good.

Bokeh.. I don't think can see any difference.

The 17-35 KM lens performs well side by side to the 16-35 CZ. Very Very close...(edge wise i think the CZ one performs better in a a planar test)

As you can see that the Alpha system photos is suited to a stright through workflow e.g Bravia ready images that promises rich colors and crispness.
If you see carefully the colors out of the CZ lens is generally richer & sharpness good to bring out the depth dimension - giving 3D-like shots.

It could be seen that the blue on the folded sails, orange item and pinky/red flower seems richer. Paying more $$ for the CZ....its up to individual. I personally don't mind getting one if the price is right. The build matches well with the 900 and better handling compared to the 17-35KM.
