The 17-35 KM lens performs well side by side to the 16-35 CZ. Very Very close...(edge wise i think the CZ one performs better in a a planar test)

As you can see that the Alpha system photos is suited to a stright through workflow e.g Bravia ready images that promises rich colors and crispness.
If you see carefully the colors out of the CZ lens is generally richer & sharpness good to bring out the depth dimension - giving 3D-like shots.

It could be seen that the blue on the folded sails, orange item and pinky/red flower seems richer. Paying more $$ for the CZ....its up to individual. I personally don't mind getting one if the price is right. The build matches well with the 900 and better handling compared to the 17-35KM.
Bro,
I think the older Minolta G lenses give more 3D effect on the photo than CZ.
Sharpness wise, CZ is the best.

The 2 shots were from slightly different perspectives, so it's hard to tell. But from my own 85G vs. CZ 85 testing, the CZ has a better 3D effect.

Thankx ETTL...for the test......I've just purchased a KM 17-35 f2.8-4 to compliment the 24~200mm setup.
Got the KM 17-35 f2.8-4 at 1/7th the price of the CZ 16-35mmm. So can't miss this chance...

Maybe in the future if pocket willing the SSM might tempt me further....

This bokeh test makes me feel that I've done a good purchase decision with the KM 17-35 f2.8-4... great performance at a good price. :D
