wow nice photos doc :thumbsup1: another  for the courage to treck there  :applause:
did you rent a 4wd? how much?
Thanks a lot bros!

@bro cthep2 - you have to leave your vehicle in the parking area then ride the 4x4 vehicle. We took the only available aircon 4x4. 1500 pesos (about 47 sing dollars) each person and this includes the guide and meal after the treck. The vehicle will wait for you in a designated parking area somewhere in the mountains, exact place i dont know. A lot of local and foreign tourists go there. We were the earliest to arrive and when we left we meet a lot of photographers in groups. Some even go overnight camping there.

Beautiful landscapes, the sky's just perfect... hehe, like you said it, it looks like middle earth - the second photo looks like a scene of the shire. :D
Thanks bro ETTL and Chaoxangel.

@ bro Chaoxangel, my thoughts exactly when I saw this scene with the light just starting to illuminate the side of the mountain.

It was very windy and cold. I thought my tripod will topple down.

Yes Ming.

This is where the giant mushroom cloud came from.
The ash fall carried by the wind even spread up to ? Africa I think.

How I wish I had the A900 and a fish eye then.

Ey Doc

Intense! The colours are so rich, i hav a handbag in the same colours of the crater. You hav good taste, hehe!

Very foreign with all the camera lingo goin on here so you'll hav to teach me or just give me your camera - i would prefer the latter : P

In 07, i visited the sleeping volcano in Cost Rica - the water in the crater is a different shade of aqua more green than blue and there was a layer of smokey mist resting above it. I'll show it to you when you visit us... so hurry up!

Keep me posted!
