Seems like the Hoya Achromat is the best so far. I know that bro Ming is using it.

Hi Blurblur ! You into Macro nowadays ah ? Are you with the Bright Side already ?

Anyway , if you are thinking to add Filters onto the 100mm Macro Lens , i think its not right ... Not to mention the Achromats ... I had tried them before , not easy to use ... Or totally cannot focus ... ( Maybe i am not up to it yet ) ... Achromat Filters are for use with normal Lens that can give very high magnification & crispy results .

Give Seng Cheong a call before you go , that is one best place to get the Filters .

to shoot an insect eye, you will need more than a close up filter/ tube set/ bellows, with your macro lens. you will also need insecticide :sofunny:

AF or even focusing will be a pain. i use a combination of 50mm 1:1 macro with a 3-tube set PLUS bellows for extreme close ups, and i'll tell you that'd not easy to focus even with still life objects.

Yes , Marco Lens with Tubes will be a better combo rather than adding Filters .

 Have not been shooting Macro for a long time already ...
