After shooting 2500 images using the kit lens, I am looking for a new lens with better bokeh and IQ (im using a350 btw) I am just looking for a good walkabout lens and maybe a tele some of my options are 50mm f1.7 100-200 f4.5 sigma 70-300 f4.5-5.6 APO macro but I can't decide what to buy for my next lens... can anyone reccommend me? ty Edited by dorm, Jan 28 2009, 08:09 PM.

yeah i've heard lots about the beercan, but its hard to find a good condition one ~300 what do you think of the Mino 100-200 f4.5? |

If you wanted a walkabout Lens , i don't think those you listed can be good unless you are ready to keep changing the Lenses . 50mm f1.4 or f1.7 or the 100-200mm f4.5 are good lenses to use . But if for me to recommend within the 3 you listed , i would say , go fo the 50mm first . Then go for the 100-200mm f4.5 . If can work out a little more , give this 3 a pass & go fo the Beercan . Though you may not be able to get a good condition Beercan at budget price , but its really worth that much for that piece of glass . Just my 2 cents . |

get the 100-200 f4.5.. first...at least u got a longer zoom..or u can settle for the 75-300mm....a bit slower but longer reach..KM , minolta , sony BUT PLS DONT get the siiiiiiggggmaaaa.. |
