To setup the email trigger for your account:
Just go to preference, select "Email & Subscription Settings" and Topic/Forum subscription alert type as "Alerts by email"..

For thread tracking, you need to manually enable it for each thread. Once you're viewing a thread, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Locate the option "Track Topic" which appears to the left of the Board Time.

Recommend a tamron 70-200mm
or if u keen i got a sigma 75-200mm f2.8-3.5 up for grab..sharper and faster than beercan....compact also..the only flaw is it is a push-pull design

hmmm push-pull design will be disadvantaged on what grounds ah? the only one i can think of is that it's kinda easy to kena zoom creep.

yes...agree...but remember 2007 sony competition was won by one of our bro here...taken with A100 + 70-200MM sigma...
