Sorry guys, actually its a penumbral lunar eclipse. Not partial lunar eclipse.

Still able to see but need to observe carefully because the light reduction of the moon is very minor.

the partial lunar will happen at the end of the year. New Year Eve.

ah... so the Penumbral Lunar Eclipse will be like a vignetted moon shot? ;) btw for solar eclipses we are told to not look directly w/o eye protection, what abt lunar eclipses?

No effect to see with your bare eyes. It just your eyes get tired after long observation of the light different on the moon. And time to go to bed. Hahahaha!!!

Its no kidding for the effect of viewing the sun directly with bare eyes w/o protection. Did a test before I let the sun shine to a piece of paper tru the magnifying. And within a minute I saw a smoke on the paper.

Full Moon 1/250th sec at f/11 at ISO 250

Gibbous Moon 1/125th sec at f/11 at ISO 250

Quarter Moon 1/60th sec at f/11 at ISO 250

Wide Crescent 1/30th sec at f/11 at ISO 250
