wow, HP does did a good job to mask out the on-board VGA port to ensure u connect ur monitor to the right one. keke.

Frm the photo, the chipset will be G45. jason, i think your Core2 Quad is more than enough. But its abit weird to power a core2quad n nvidia 9600 with just 350W power supply. Thats like almost the limit. haha.

May need to change PSU should you want to add in extra hardware. 350W is tad little juice for me, 500W constant would be a stable source of power for a mid-range rig.

the current line X58 motherboard only supports the new 1366 standard CPU chip, in other words, only intel's new i7 CPU is supported. furthermore, the X58 motherboard no longer uses DDR2 RAM, but instead DDR3 rams. while the motherboard supports up to 24GB ram, the OS you use still restrict the total ram the OS can see. currently im still using XP on this rig (waiting for Windows 7) and it only detects 3GB of my 4GB ram installed.

and if im using a micro ATX board? does it mean that my casing is only for micro ATX board?
From ya casing...you r stuck to a micro ATX. Unless u upgrade a casing to support full ATX MB.

haha ya.. my graphics card supports HDMI but my screen doesn't.. hhehe if HDMI makes lots of differences i guess ill throw my screen for a trade or upgrade.. =)

350W is quite tight i guess..

i rmb when i bought this CPU back, installed GTA IV and played on the very first day.. in the game i was in a car traveling at high speed, it was raining but the graphics were still smooth.. but as soon as I bang a wall (guess that's when all the graphics resources are used up) and my a blue screen came up and say dumping memory.. =) is it due to the graphics memory or the power supply?

when i leave my CPU on for days for downloads but did not have any problem like sudd shut down or what leh..

dont need to worry about HDMI.

what they mean is just they support HDMI output. you wont see any difference in picture quality comparing HDMI and DVI.

AcBel i-Power 510W @ $90 from Fuwell.

That's the same PSU sitting in my rig.
