Thank you axeral. Have not call TCW for a while. Will visit them soon. Anyway, will the AF be slow with a 1.4x + 70-300 on a A300 body ? Must really use a A700 or A900 to speed up the AF ? |

It is okay to be slow, as long you never stop. Start and teach Photography since 1982 | |

On my A900 with minolta 70-200mm G and its seems slower in focusing. It also hunts a lot at the long end even in bright day lights. :(. But for less than half the price I guess I can live with it. Just switch to FTM and focus manually ![]() I do mostly landscapes so its ok for me. For BIF.. better get the original or a 3rd party tele prime.. |

Thank you axeral again. Went to TWC and got the Kenko 300 pro @ S$ 245/-. They have quite a few. Any bro/sis interested can look for Daniel or Nelson there and mention my name "frederick foo"'. Optically it is good enough. But the AF will be slow especially using lenses whose biggest f/stop is f/4. Even my A700 is as slow as my A300. Lenses whose biggest aperture is smaller than f/4, the lens will hunt. Manual focus is tight like a manual lens. Have fun. |
