forget the small usb-powered ones. i tried that before, i think i can generate more suction with a straw in my mouth haha...

but be careful abt vacuum cleaners, there's a static field at the tip of the nozzle and DSLRs are packed with electronics... so far have not heard of any problems but its still a risk.

depends where and how you change lenses. i think i posted a reply to one of your (or someone elses') question a couple of days ago on the same thing, abt giving priority to covering your camera body with the body cap or lens, iso the lens - which is much easier to clean.

and its easy for dust to go up into the VF area since there's nothing blocking it from the mirror cavity so once dust gets in its very likely it can go up, esp if we use the blower. that's how i first got dust in one of my 7Ds. since then i've given up trying to get dust out of the VF - just live with it ;)

yup. this is what i do when i change lenses, as a guide:

1. look for a "clean" place, i.e. low wind, low traffic
2. face back to wind
3. lens B on floor, rear cap loosened
4. face camera DOWN
5. dismount lens A
6. place rear lens on lens A
7. mount lens B onto camera
8. tighten rear cap on lens A

with a bit of practice you can get the "exposure" time (camera mount is exposed) to abt 2 secs. if the place is dusty, then do this inside the bag.

stay clean
:)

same technique as what i used..tested and proven..but this case is usually more for the sensor..not so much of VF..

for VF, i heck care liao..
