yup. this is what i do when i change lenses, as a guide:

1. look for a "clean" place, i.e. low wind, low traffic
2. face back to wind
3. lens B on floor, rear cap loosened
4. face camera DOWN
5. dismount lens A
6. place rear lens on lens A
7. mount lens B onto camera
8. tighten rear cap on lens A

with a bit of practice you can get the "exposure" time (camera mount is exposed) to abt 2 secs. if the place is dusty, then do this inside the bag.

stay clean
:)
Thanx for the tip bro TH.....appreciate it !!

same technique as what i used..tested and proven..but this case is usually more for the sensor..not so much of VF..

for VF, i heck care liao..
erm.. dust goes to the VF chamber via the same cavity. typically dust accumulates there, affects the sensor first, then when we blow it, it tends to go UP to the VF chamber, though some of it comes out.

I was told, Sony SC would service the Minolta lenses (since they took over the business from Minolta).

I was also told, once the lens kena fungus, even after the clean up, it would *not* have the same quality as its previously. True?

Edit: Typo, missing 'not'...

depends on the extent of the fungal infection. some can be cleaned off with minimal damage to the lens coating, while some are so deep-set that it can't really be saved.
