Hi, do any bro or sis has any comment on the len mention? I have wrote to Sigma & they told me the HSM II can work on A700 Thanks |

if you are referring to the statement "*If the camera body does not support HSM motor, AF will not work." you will find that that's a standard line. if you asked sigma "if that lens will work on the a700", even i can tell you yes, any sigma lens (even the old gen ones) will work on A mount - as long as its for A mount (some models not made for us). but if you want to know if AF is driven by the a700's motor, or does the lens' HSM motor increase AF speed (if its even installed for the pentax/ sony model) then that should be the question to sigma. still, at that focal range and constant f/2.8 aperture it sounds like a very nice lens.

Hi, finally I got my 50-150 but no time to test it. The HSM seem to work on A700. And I love the size which is smaller than my 70-300G. Focus is quite as the SSM. Will try to take some picture and see the result. |
