Interesting ! And comes with a Tripod ... I wanted to ask about the Remote (its said something about GPS?) too , but it looks like a Phone to me ! Can call for buddies if an Alien or UFO is spotted ! Price stated 'Starting' from ... Don't know what is means ... ? And if its SGD$2599 , i want to order one ! |

Seems the remote control is for keying in a planet/star/galaxy/nebula name and number. Following which the telescope will turn and point to the part of the sky where the sky object should be. A more detailed explanation in this link: Celestron NexStar SE Telescope Overview |

That is a great scope. But its not ment for birding, its basically for astronomy purposes. 2.8m scope is good for planetary and also nebulae observation. Its quite big 300mm diameter scope. You might have difficulty to bring around for outing. You need a T-mount adapter to mount on your cam. But I always advise any bros intend to get a scope, always consult first before you purchase. Not all scope, have a same purposes. The best go to Astro Scientific at Science Centre, the shop is selling mostly Celestron products. Edited by red dwarf, Apr 12 2009, 09:38 PM.

How to carry hor ... ? Over 40kg ... Only if my house got a balcony for me to place it there ... What will i be shooting if i have this ... ? 01. Once a while shoot the moon for the first few months ... 02. Shoot the same neighbours opposite my block and people walking along the streets downstairs for the rest of the time ... Then let it rest sleeping in the ... Oh ! Gonna need another Bigger Dry Cab to keep it ... Or sell it away ?
