Sori to say this, I notice some of us here are too over-reacting.
We not in a battle ground. What TS mentioned is opinion and comments. Not bombardments from you guys. We all know that you guys are die-hard 'Alphaian' but doesn't mean that some bros here ask for opinion about other cams, you guys start to aim your missile at the target. Be rationale a bit.

Everyone has their own views on things. Its nothing wrong for Dom to post this asking comments.
You have your say and comments, just reply with yours. If not, just view/read and go. As simple as that.
Shooting at ISO 3200 is nothing. I have shot with ISO 6400 before.
So long as you know your gear and handle it well, know what it can do or cannot do, seriously, any camera brand is almost the same. Its just a tool after all. What matter most is the person using it.

Also, be humble. There is always many more photographers out there who are much better in certain aspect of their field.

I am not a pro, but certainly not a newbie as well. In fact, I learned alot from newbies too.
Just take in any comments, but dont start a war here.

I am just a little cute girl lookin for a dslr lor
becaurse now its digital, we can do stupid stuffs like zoom in 100% and complain its noisy and not sharp..but ask yrself, DO you even print 4R bo..????

In film, u only shoot when you know that the pic is worth shooting at as there's a cost to print...so i think its better to know what the hell you are shooting AT then to what you are shooting WITH!..

Still there's no perfect brand to me..once you try them all loh...you can always short hand the bad points at any brand. Anyone who wanta knows the shortcuts to the Dos and Donts about photography can always PM for a coffee around west area when free...i am NO PRO but help with simple stuffs.
I am a little girl hoping to own a sony dslr soon...do not PM me for photoshoot na.

No, is not only to you. Is to everybody here. Please give a positive comments, suggestion or ideas. You may have a great technical knowledge and experiences in this field but others who are still new and trying to get some suggestion and point of views from some pros and experts here. If you think you want to contribute something to those who are still new or rather lack of camera knowledge, ya do so, if not just ignore. Yes, this kind of thread has been keep repeating. But some of them might have missed it or unaware such thread has been discussed before.

Yup... Understood...

But sometimes the so called "newbies" or watever u call... they dun listen to wat others says. They have their own answer aredi.. but asking for more people to support their decision...

How many times have this similar answers or question been seen?

1) Go out and shoot more with your camera

2) Every equipment is the same, it's the user who uses the camera

3) Is this camera good enough? (without stating wat he wanna shoot)

4) What's the Best camera?

Instead of posting on how someone can achieve it in terms of technical skills or experiences, why post to ask which camera is good for taking wat? This is not sharing of knowledge or experiences, it's a direct question on which one to buy or jump on my intepretation.

This is not a war thread and this will be my last thread. It's just a non-offensive opinion of mind on wat i think. If you think that this is offensive... there is nothing more i can add.

I dun believe in "newbie" or "old bird" term and i respect everyone else when they respect others as well.

Cheers and have a good day ahead :cheer:

I'm just a Newbie Cameraman
Just an additional comment from me.

Everyone is aware that C used to boast about it's clean image from high ISO, but if you look at the out of cam pictures, there is nothing to shout about. It's slightly better than Sony/Nikon only and not very significant but it also depends on the subject and lighting condition I guess cos I have seen really clean images from Canon cams but not straight from the cam though.

In one recent outing, a group of us were shooting a blue flower and one of the members of the group who is using a Canon cam (not an entry level cam hor) has the shot and the color is totally off, it came out pink/purple (i can't really remember). What a turn off. Adjusting the colour will be more difficult than removing the noise to me. So I told myself that ain't I lucky to have chosen the correct system. Phew.

Aiyah why make this issue so big. TS say Which system to change to? Nikon, Cannon or just stick to Sony?

Its an technical issue only. Just to make him have a clear picture which cam he want to go to. Furthermore, it is his money to spent on.

For me I may get a Canon 40D for my Astro purposes, I think its more than enough for a moment.
