I remember seeing a thread on CS asking about getting proper sharpness when taking landscapes. Before you know it, stuff like interfocal distance and the likes began popping up and here i am confused; all these while i thought just set to f8/f16 and focus to infinity can liao... so my questions are:

How do YOU take your landscapes?

How am i supposed to take my landscapes? (i'm using a KM 28-85 F3.5-4.5)

Spank you very much :P

Same same... I thought no need AF or Focus at all, since the scenery was far. I just make sure my F8-F16, most of time can get sharp picture liao leh.

EDIT: Must use tripod if night/early morning shoots.

Since it's so far, should be focus to infinity, as infinity everthing should be in focus unless you got something very close to your camera captured in the frame. Even shoot at wide open , the picture still sharp. The smaller aperture just give you better sharpness at the border site.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

Hi,

This link explain why focus infinity will not get everything sharp.

http://www.trustedreviews.com/digital-cameras/review/2008/06/23/Photography-Tutorial-Landscape-Photography-Part-1/p2

Best is Hyper focal or focus on some foreground subject.

Do contact me if anyone still do not understand. Good Luck
