Hi,thanks brothers for all the information, after shooting birding in JBP realized the short of lens in birding, need to upgrade to a longer range, with the help of brother mino 1.4 Tele still fall short of range, if using 2 X tele with 70-200mm G f2.8 picture will be very soft. So brothers wat is the market value for this lens???. Have see one in E-bay n quite interested in it.

300mm F/4 is still too short for birding. And if you add a 1.4x TC, it will 420mm only, not to mention f/5.6.

If that is the case, you are better off buying the Sony 70-400mm.
Main reasons is that it is a Sony lens with warranty, at first hands lens.

Otherwise Tamron 200-500 can be another choice. Or Sigma 50-500mm.

Yes have tested the Tamron lens 200-500mm although at f 8 is consider sharp but the focusing is a little bit slow hahaha, have seen the 400mm minolta prime lens in e-bay, :knock: OMG the prices for used and no warranty and servicing from SSC is really a big headache for me. $4,550.00 IMO.
