also bumped into alpha bro Hart during the disruption.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SINGAPORE: Train services along the East West MRT line were disrupted for 18 minutes on Friday at about 7.25pm. A man jumped off the platform at Aljunied MRT station and ran along the track towards Paya Lebar Station. A commuter activated the Emergency Stop Plunger which stopped approaching trains from entering the station. SMRT staff combed the tracks twice but did not find the man. Police finally arrested the man who managed to find his way down to the street below the MRT track. The police said the Chinese man, who is in his late 40s, sustained leg injuries and will be charged with attempted suicide. He could be fined up to S$5,000 for trespassing MRT tracks. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/438743/1/.html Edited by myphotoshop, Jun 27 2009, 03:05 PM.

I was waiting my friends for dinner at Outram Park station from 7.20pm. Station officer kept repeating the service disrupted many times. I was actually guessing someone suicide and cause the problem. |

Think so... Good thing he was thwarted in his attempt... if he was really resolved to die, he would have hugged the third rail, but in this case, he didn't do so. |
