Thanks everyone , its has been a good read for me & i know that i am going to be more worng if i were to give up what i have now . Which , after discussing with my wife , there is definitely no need to give up what i had wanted most to be my hobby . Though i had my 'Most Best' times with Alpha & 'Downs' with Alpha , i have to admit that i had done wrong doing the SSS for the FF as a part to show my 'Anger' ... There is no need for me to give up , just hold on to what i have & enjoy them whenever i have the time ... As for the 'Neglecting' part ... I don't think i had done it so bad , its just minor . After hearing what my wife had said to me as we talk about it last night ... We are as good & happy as usual .I just have to control myself a bit , don't always ask for so much , be contended .... (Try lor , its going to be hard for me) Spare more thoughts for my good wife rather than keep thinking of which new stuff to get ... No time to shoot other things , never mind ... Just carry my Alpha along to work . Hold it & hug it during my break time in the noon . No time to go TCSS & mess around with everyone here outside , never mind ... I can mess around Here in the Forum where even more of everyone ae here ! See , it may not be easy for me to just speak out my feelings face to face , but here , i can .Once again , i have to say thank you to all of you for your kind words & advises . For TS , I Love My Alpha & I Hate You !

Hi brother Ming, I may have not met u in person, finally u have been enlighten from the forum here of Alpha brothers and advises. Though I may not know u, but from the messages that we had so far communicate, believing u are a easy going person. Just remember to balance in life, always walks the middle path.Well as some brothers here mentioned about midlife crisis, I personally think, it is a good things, that will made u even more mature. I believe my crisis are even more enormous than yours, see I 'm still as strong as others people thinks of me. Spare more thoughts for your wife n family, when u meet theirs requirement is as good that u had done for yourself. I had spent twenty-three years for ferrying my children to and fro without stop , I only left without times for myself also regretted. So enjoy yourself and not neglecting them is the solution to the matter.

Life is about choices ![]() Watever happen in the past, it's the choice u make no matter wat's the supporting factors. So let's not reget and look forward as life is short. While it's hard to draw a line between "Need" & "Want", it's important to communiate hobby spendings with your wife as to where you are heading and where's the limit. At least this works for me Passion dun die with gears......it die with u

Ming, what happened to you, it also happened to me lately. My wife and kids had hinted me that they felt being neglected. Thats where I started to let go my gear bit by bit and share with them those money. Bring them out for a show and also dinner with the money that I sold my gears. At first my wife was shocked, then when I explained to her that i don't really utilise my DSLR and also no time for astro(just to pleased her), she feel much better, more time with me and also a bit sorry that I sold my cam n scope. Now I follow like TS, outing only Saturday morning. Afternoon onwards with family.( Unless have to come back to office on during Sat.) So I guess the best way, sold those unnecessaries gears which u think u don't need it and share those money with ur kids even though it not a big some but they feel appreciated with what you done( just treat like a token to them). Spent more time with ur kids especially. Kids always need both parent attention. Your wife may understand but not ur kids. Have a nice day bro. Don't give-up. Cheer up!!!! Looks like many of us are going through the same things... I guess the Alpha fever had many of us going a little crazy and overboard with the BBB... I have to admit that I have also gone too far with the BBB in the past... To Ming: Bro... toys will come and go... Family will stay till the end... Cherish your family. But remember that in the long run, you also need a little time and space to yourself. Like what some bros have mentioned, don't go till the other extreme and give up everything that is 'selfish'. When you lose all the things that makes you happy, you can become sad and it does not help with your family life also... |
