... I'm abit embarrassed to ask any questions, because I know I have yet to get the basics right yet.
Then is more important to join some of the outing here. Trust me, you will learn a lot from the shifu here. There is nothing to be embarrassed in asking questions. There are things we know and there are things we do not know, it is through questioning that we know beyond what is known and explore the unknown.

By the way, have you attended the class by Julian (is a free lesson for all new Sony DSLR user)? Should attend, I learned all the basic there, and now, just learning from the shifu here.

Eh.. What's you buying a DSLR for?

Taking pictures so that your friends like it? Instead of you liking your own photos?

Be happy shoot what you like!

Maybe your friends a bit biased haha.. know it's a canon and it's she.
Gotta agree with bro Birder on this. You bought the cam for yourself, not for your friends, for their comments, knowing that they're biased.

Heck I look down on most C/N users with pity, knowing that they've never done a thoroughly research, wasting their hard-earned $$$ on things that they don't fully understand.

Forum is a good place to ask :)

Basics, not sure just pop the question, many people here are happy to answer. Or at least show you where to find answer.

Scondly, you can post your picture, ask for comment how and what can be improved on .. Now, this is nothing about canon or nikon or what-so-ever.. but technical and asthetic comments how to improve on, if any. Note other's input.. when you shoot next time, make use of the answer to guide you.

First thing, thanks again for the words of advice from the brothers here. I do not have the free voucher for the Julian workshop, and I am not equip with the very basics of photography but I am considering paying to attend his workshop.

I will also try to post my pictures here for commenting. Actually I have seen that the sub-forum for commenting is quite under-utilise, I shall see it as a chance for me to participate more.

Excel-glsi, I believe other brands like Fujifilm and Panasonic are also very good and I admire your confidence in regularly posting in a Sony forum. You must believe that what you have been doing is right and at the same time of a high standard, regardless of what camera you are using. :thumbsup1: This also proves the friendliness of the people in our camp. These are the little things I can be happy about and I believe will benefit me in the long-run.

I really appreciate the help and replies I get from this thread. Confidence-wise, I do feel better already.

:Thanks:
