:@ :D :3 :) :] :x :o :z :> ;)
Hi guys,

This is a continuation of the previous series of PS KungFu Sessions.

I've got some people asking me to start a Adobe PhotoShop kungfu session... I guess I can begin a session or two of my own.

But this time round, I'm going to do things slightly differently now, after having some experiences with the massive sharing. I felt that some bros/sis have some understanding of the stuff I'm talking, others catch no ball totally... There is an appreciable difference between the different users in terms of different level. So this time round, I'm doing it differently this time... (ahem, besides, I'm not too used to speaking to a whole bunch of people seated below my height and raising my voice)... So haha, I like to speak on a personal level, it feels warmer and I can focus on people this time around...

This class will be a more focused one. I'm keeping the class size very small tiny - I'm capping these sessions at 3 persons for now - depending on how the first few session goes, so I can attend to everyone in a personal level, and go straight to the heart of their problem - this I believe, will accelerate your learning process, and will ensure that everybody gets attended to - because that way I can ensure that everybody have their questions answered to my best abilities, and if got problems, I can also try to crack it myself, because there are so many permutations to working in Photoshop - and there could be many answers to everything - there is no one single model answer. Things can be very introductory - if you are someone who wants to get a grasp of the interface, and how to start - or you like to go really in depth - the whole nine yards - and everything catered, and very flexible, and it's suited for all levels. :)

Some General Traits of this Class:
- Time: Around the time span of an afternoon - Can be Long, Can be Short - until everybody has their problems solved, or when people get constrained in Timings...
- Class Size: Small... 3 or 1, can be more, can be less.
- There will be no topic List - Participants have their own agendas, their own learning objectives, and are required to come with their own purpose. Also, they have to come with their problems in mind.
- This session will be impromptu.
- These sessions are Multi Level in Learning Curve... Anybody can join. You don't even need to know about photoshop.

My Role as a tutor and a facilitator will be to help you to:
- Get around the program if you are new to it
- How to get problems solved if you are stuck in a rut.
- How to with a file and get organized, and don't forget what you did before (planning your work)
- How to streamline your work process (how to work more quickly and efficiently)

Learner Profiles:
Introductory and Familiarization - You have no idea how to get around in Photoshop and would like a Guided Tour
Problem Solving - You have a general idea of how to work on Photos, but you have problems you wanna bust

Prerequisite:
- Participants are Strongly Encouraged to bring a Laptop - I can help you calibrate your lappy.

- Come with a PURPOSE!!!!!! - an Agenda:
~~~ what you want to know...
~~~ a set of questions you'd like to have answered...
~~~ a photo that you seemingly just couldn't work on.
~~~ Or a computer that isn't running Photoshop properly even, or even to ask for hardware advises
~~~ a process of doing things that you'd like to have another perspective about.
I'm neither following nor formulating a Curriculum... well most of it is in my head, and should be able to access anytime :P. If there's something I don't know, I can go and find out for you, and share what I found out. When you are learning, I also can learn if your question is too hard for me - this gives me a reason to research... ;)
Location
- Anywhere that we can sit around, with 1 power socket (I'd bring a multi plug that ensures power for 4 laptops) - and a steady supply of food and drinks etc - heh, so we don't kicked out... heh! (Maybe Liang Court MacDonald's - last I checked, got a working powersupply... My MUA did model's hair there...)
- Most likely, it will be at my pad at Commonwealth, got aircon, huge 24 inch screens to see and share, lots of examples to quote. That's my base of operations really, so can show u guys a lot of stuff. :P
Compensation to Tutor
No-obligation donation in Any Amount, Big or Small - in Red Packet or Envelope - no money also can. But I really appreciate some cos I'm poor student now. Hehe... gotta get some lunch money I guess... Times aren't very good, while I appreciate some donations, I don't wanna stretch the pockets of my friends. ;)
E.g.
Not Happy = No $$
Happy = Some $$
Very Happy = More $$ la... :P
to Me, spreading Knowledge and Helping is Priority - money is trivial, though helpful I admit... well... that's all. ;) and I won't mind ... that is if you have a conscience... hehe :P :P :P :neener: :roll: :whistle: :coming:
