Don't know if this subforum is the right place. Anyways, any have experience buying old Minolta lens on eBay? I've found some minolta lens on eBay that goes for about SGD250 which is $150 less than when you buy local, shipping fees included. Some have shown great conditions in their pictures, mentioned about dust in lens and offer moneyback if not satisfid. Anyone can offer insights? Thanks! |

I 've bought lens & accessories from Ebay b4, so far have not encounter any issues. Just make sure the seller is reputable. |

Better check first, most of the time the prices are in USD and free shg is to an US address only. Moreover most items are on a bidding system, so eventually the price may be more than what you can get locally and if the item send is not to your satisfaction, rejecting the item will be a hassle and you have to bear the shipping charges too. But if the price is as you have stated it would be worth to take a look. |

Hahaha!!! The E'vil' bay dilema. Buy at your own risk. 70% the actual items condition is not like what you see in the pics. 30% just pray for ur luck. Unless you are buying those exclusive gadget from a reputable seller. Always check the seller past transaction history. What sorts of comments? |

i have used ebay and paypal, worry about whether shipment will arrive as stated or not. and when it arrive....happiness. only done one transaction so far and used 100% positive seller and hope for the best. i think paypal got some type of guarantee regarding any problems with sellers, you should check first. some companies also take direct transfer payment if no paypal. in all honesty, i rather deal locally than to go through a few days of anxiety regarding condition of goods or damage during delievry. the delievery guy can make mistake and drop the box etc. than how how to claim? also, kena 7% gst and delievery charge so must add all. |

eBay does have its advantage as the market range is bigger, u CAN find lens that are not readily found in Singapore, examples could be the KM 24-50, KM 35-70, KM 28-85, KM 100-200 of the 'beercan' design series or even the KM 80-200 F2.8 APO. While the advantages are there, you have to weigh it against poor resolution pictures provided by seller, shipping damages, long shipping time, expensive shipping methods. |
