@Galdor, I used to be a phone hopper but finally settled with E71 :D Generally I like SE phone but their Symbian series really CMI so for Symbian I'll stick with Nokia.

@Lenrek, since you are a nerd  why not use Android or LinMo based phone and hack it the way you want? :D

My experience with Nokia is generally OK. My best experience is E71, but I lost the phone! :notmyday:

So settle with the cheaper N78. :(

Does Android enabled phone emulate as modem when plug to computer? I need this feature and it must work in Linux. Since I use my phone as modem to surf and work. So far, SE and Nokia both works fine in Linux.

I'm using the G700 now and it's working fine for me. Maybe I don't really need such high end phone. But so far no hiccups on SE so I'm happy with it.

Yes...

The problem is driver for Linux. Some phone totally cannot work (e.g iPhone). So far, I find both SE and Nokia works fine. Can try via bluetooth, but that drain more on battery life, so i prefer USB. B)

I use P1i before I switched to E71. I like the qwerty key. Damn I lost my E71, ended using non-qwerty key... :(

Try it out lor, most likely it can since Android is based on Linux as well (although Google's claimed it's not). Go to xda-developers.com and browse through Dream/Magic thread, you will find the answer there.

Good luck!
