Wa fast replies! ![]() 70-400G is great lens but not long enough and bokeh at 400mm not that nice leh. The SSM on this lens is quite battery hungry too. In my trip to Africa with this lens on A700, 1 batt last me just 1/2 day. I'm intending to revisit Tanzania next year, so I'm trying to find out if I can get better results with the combo of 300mm + 2X on A700. |

Thanks Mino! but MAF 300mm is hard to find and Sony is way too expensive. I was hoping there's review for the Tamron or Sigma 300mm with 2X teleconverter, so I can judge if it is worth the $$ to buy. |

Not so hard too find. Look at ebay; seller matsuiyastore or ian.hobday or .... You can get the Minolta AF High Speed APO 300mm/F2.8 G from ebay at US$2,565.00 Try to get the selling to do "something" as to escape the 7%GST. M300mm HS |
