Hi Bro/sis,

I have seen some of the nice and excellent Bromo pictures. I could be planning to make a visit there. However I would like to have some advice.

1) I have CZ 24-70. Do you think I should get a 70-300G Lens for the trip or my CZ 24-70 will be ok?

2) Is Tripod needed?

Thanks ao much

i haven't been to Bromo myself, but the advice for any trip is: don't bring your entire dry cab along. carry only what you need and can manage. otw you'll get exhausted after the first day and won't enjoy yr trip.

I would suggest bringing both and your tripod as well. You would use your 24-70mm most of teh time but you wouldn't know when you'll need the reach of 300mm. I was glad that I brought my 80-200mm during my recent trip although I had my 16-105mm on the cam 95% of the time.

most important is to enjoy urself in the trip yup... dont stress urself if u cant get the same shots like some of the bros that posted here... sometimes 'luck' plays a part in photography too... the weather conditions, the climate and the timing too... if u dont succeed this time round, try again next time yup... :)
cheers bro... have fun ya~*

It really depends on what kinds of photos you like...

I myself at times like to shoot sun big big.. so I tend to bring tele lens...

But think also, you have to "climb mountain" thru the thin air... to get that shot... you be exhausted if you carry too much.

What i see is , if you are going there to shoot everything , then bring whatever you have & try not to miss a thing . But carry until siao lor ...

If you going partly to relax & shoot something easy , then carry less . Wide & a longest will do , together with tripod of course , otherwise you gonna rely on your friends around like dustbin , pillars , barricades , tables & chairs etc ...
