check this out. Sony extended warranty interesting, this is the first time I see sony offering extended warranty. all the more reason to buy your camera from your local friendly shops.. with the lens promo, i think it's quite worth it. But .. look at the terms and conditions: online warranty is non-transferrable on another note: promo is till dec 2009 and.. the casual mentioning of A500/L and A550/L .. so expect A500/550 to be here very soon..

when i buy my stuff from harvey, i always always buy extended warranty. even when the product becomes obsolete (printers for example) and spare parts are gone, they will replace with a new set since still under warranty.. hmm but at $310? harvey cheaper! Edited by s.khai, Sep 12 2009, 12:27 AM.

for normal appliances (eg. TV, fridge) i suppose that's true. but for camera or lens, i always wonder whether u should get ur extended warranty from harvey it's not the complete breakdown that i'm concerned with.. but .. how do u get them to clean the sensor, calibrate, do normal checking? is it done by sony? or by harvey norman? isn't it better to get it from sony? |

can compare with harvey............no point getting a lens that you may not need in the first place. its like buy a850 just to get a dry cabinet. ok sorry lousy analogy!!

It's a good move. But maybe with a better free gift would be more attractive. A 50mm f1.8 would be useless to A850 or A900 users. |
