Err... The key word here is entry level + kit lens. I think Khai demonstrated very well on how to capture nice scenery/landscape photo with this.

I am a bit obsess with gear... :$

"I love to take scenic pictures (sunrise, moon, clouds, skyscraper, etc)"
"mid range camera then invest on lenses"

The big issue is you have not state your budget for this "investment"

Camera DSLR
One which allows you to do bracketing - (for HDR)

Mid range
Canon 40D, 50D
Nikon D200, D300
Sony Alpha 700, Alpha 850
Olympus (I not familiar so cannot advise)

Lenses
This suggest the lens you need. Wide angles. Anything from 16mm onwards
Check out prices for lenses. Those with Image Stabiliser (or Vibration Reduction) are more costly than those without.

Accessories
You will need a stable tripod for landscape shoot.
Preferably with remote cable release
You might need filters for better effects
- graduated ND filter
- Circular Polarisers Filter

any camera can take those photos you mentioned. There is no particular models. Even a P&S can take those things. The only problem is the person behind the camera. Sorry to say that no camera is designed to do specific task. It is how the user make full use of the camera.

Regarding suitability, I think the best way is you should go out and try all the available brands. and buy what your budget allows. mid-range you might be looking for APS-C bodies? then I think any 16/17/18mm wide lenses are sufficient. If you want wider (like a Fullframe) then you are looking at 10/11/12mm wide lenses.

ok thx you so much
