"I love to take scenic pictures (sunrise, moon, clouds, skyscraper, etc)"
"mid range camera then invest on lenses"

The big issue is you have not state your budget for this "investment"

Camera DSLR
One which allows you to do bracketing - (for HDR)

Mid range
Canon 40D, 50D
Nikon D200, D300
Sony Alpha 700, Alpha 850
Olympus (I not familiar so cannot advise)

Lenses
This suggest the lens you need. Wide angles. Anything from 16mm onwards
Check out prices for lenses. Those with Image Stabiliser (or Vibration Reduction) are more costly than those without.

Accessories
You will need a stable tripod for landscape shoot.
Preferably with remote cable release
You might need filters for better effects
- graduated ND filter
- Circular Polarisers Filter
wah thx you so much for the info will go read up more regarding the models stated. The models stated are actually quite costly for me is there any other models i can go for with 1.1k plus for just the body.

Hmmm... Can I just check if you are only looking for Canon or Nikon cameras?
I am ok with both
Since you are here, and we are mainly "Alpha" DSLR users, you should know we would recommend more Sony DSLR for you! Haha...

Check out the pictures below, taken using alpha camera.

Sunset @ Changi Boardwalk - Sunset Walk

Shots was taken by our bro and (IIRC) he is using a A200 with kit-lens when he took the pictures.

If you are looking for a DSLR quality picture and do not want all the complexity of handling a DSLR, A230/A330/A380 are good choice. If you prefer a more feature rich camera body, the A500/A550 are good choice.

If you have the budget, you can also consider A700, A850 and A900.

oh thx you so much. i like the first and the last photo.

Other accessories aside, 1.1k is rather hard to get a mid-range DSLR with Kit lens.

if u dun like the body feel of a330/380, u can always get the a300/350, 2nd hand for a start, or new if there are any. and becase they are all the same technically, u dun get much improvements from the newer bodies other than lighter n smaller. n one thing i dun like abt the a330/380 is no option to use wired remote.
