If you have some of the classic minolta lens, and thinking of selling do think twice, cause it's one of the best and will no longer be make anymore even if SONY wanted to. Some of the classic .... Minolta 28-135mm f4-4.5 A900: Zeiss 2.8/24-70mm, Minolta AF4-4.5/ 28-135, 2.8/28-70G, 2.8/70-200G @ 70mm Minolta AF 28-135mm F/4-4.5 review Minolta 35mm f2 (Minolta 28-135mm is compared here as well) A900: Zeiss ZA 2.8/16-35mm vs Sony 1.4/35mm G, Minolta 2/35mm and Minolta 4-4.5/28-135mm Edited by tankm, Oct 2 2009, 07:15 PM.

The Minolta 28-135mm f4-4.5 range is good on the FF, not so for the APS-C. Get this while the price is still low now before FF becomes more common. |

Apparently, the glass being used is no longer being manufactured due to environment issue. One of which is the use of lead in the glass element. Hence even if they remake it with the same blue print, it will not be the same anymore. |

Yes, it's a issue. But if you do have a reasonably good unit to start with and with proper care it will last you a long long time. |

The golden times when Minolta work with Leica produce some of the best lenses for A-mount DSLR till now Just look at the sharpness of beercan at tat kind of price,http://www.flickr.com/photos/terrychua/3012901042/sizes/l/in/set-72157602083498901/ If only Sony willing to carry on support for Minolta lenses, but well.....they can't be kiling their own "CZ" branding so no choice
