hehe thx guys... my first digital cam was a sony... DSC-9 or sumthing like that. and I did had first hand experience with their customer service. the LCD went blank, though it can still shoot. cam was out of warranty, tried my luck there. they repaired it FOC. I can't remember what was the problem. abt the "expensive" lens, I thought I was wrong. I went thru the price list of the lens, and it's not much difference from other brands. of cos, this is thru newbie's perception. yup, A550 is one of the models I would look out for. but if budget dun permits, I might just get the A330 hehe ya, true, the atmoshpere is different from the other forum :-) |

I used an olympus before.loved the colours but the lower models i quickly outgrow them and was v fustrated with the AF and the struggle with low light conditions. Sold it off and bought a canon. thought of getting a cheap body and investing on good lenses to start with. But i have difficulty trying to find good middle range lenses and buying L lenses is totally out of the picture for me. Then came the A850. WOW the price realli blew me away. Juz the right features without the unnecessary gimmicks. No live view?no problem.Never used it anyway. High ISO?man are u kdding? I used an olympus before and nothing struggles more in low light other than that brand. Best of all good quality glass that is in their 20s and still surviving on the market and it AF!! wow. some ppel may say they dun realli like the minolta colours. For wat i can say is. from my opinion, the further away ur colours look from the mass, the more u can stand out with ur own style. Ppel will take notice and say, hey thats a different colour u have there and u can say. Yup they dont make this kinda lenses anymore and im using it My dad cant afford this lens prev and hey..i bought it for just 400 bux. and it works on a full frame too! imagine a full frame lens on your dslr costing just 400 bux.never imagined that 5 years ago.
