hi bros. i'm wondering if its the camera that consumes battery alot of is it just my battery? i'm using A330 and NP-FH50 battery. i have check with my frens using canon and their battery 1 full charge can last them between 300-400 shots and some even 1000 shots.

for mine, i've only charged it twice since i bought it, and every full charge, can last me less than 150 shots. anybody can advise on this and share your battery life? i did charge 8 hours for the 1st time before i use it.

Well, the battery in the A330 isn't exactly the strongest. But 150 is pretty low. Do you use live view non-stop?

The A230/330/380 is using the H series batteries - these are very small batteries when compared to the giant sized M batteries that's used in the a100/200/300/350/500/550/700/850/900 - those can go to a thousand shots and much more depending on how you use it.

Chances are - your battery is working fine, but it would be good to hear it from other users of the a230/330/380 to get an averaged result... if you tend to check your shots frequently and more often, you'd use the screen more and hence use up more battery power.

Nevertheless, the tips given by the bros in the earlier replies are good power saving tips that you can heed...

thanks to all u guys here for ur reply. will take note of the few tips. anyway i heard from some that as it is only my 2nd charge, i'll need more charge for the lithium battery to sort of 'warm up' then the battery life will last longer and allow me to take more shots. is that true?
