Buy a Nikon "for" your other half, and then Canon "for" your children. :devil1:

Bro, that's what going through my mind at the moment, my wife wants to buy a Camera but I don't want her to be forced into using what i have......

woman hand small.. M4/3 .. GF1 could be a good choice.
Cannon? m,, too bad if not you can get her A550 :)
Why don't you ask her compare which cannon DSLR in the same price range as A550 and compare which is better?
Actually we went to Sony Wisma and tried out the A550, she didnt really like it, her exact comment "I would prefer your A900 to this" :sofunny: "but i have seen my friend Nikon and the colour seems nice" :banghead:

Well our friend is actually using a D700.................. :nail:
She has good taste :)
Agreed. The D700 is a great camera in Nikon's lineup. Perfect MP for the sensor size. Nice image quality. Nevertheless...a bit pricy.

I think Olympus Pen-1 is the best choice for a lady.
Alpha 700 | Minolta 70-210mm F4 | Sony 50mm F1.4 | Tamron 10-24mm F3.5-4.5 / 17-50mm F2.8 / 90mm F2.8 Macro
Dreaming: A900 | 24-70mm F2.8 | 85mm F1.4

Pen-1 auto focus is slow. She will :knock: for buying her a slower cam than the one you using. :D
