*Flashing News*Email trigger on Alphadslr forum is now working.

To setup the email trigger for your account:
Just go to preference, select "Email & Subscription Settings" and Topic/Forum subscription alert type as "Alerts by email"..

For thread tracking, you need to manually enable it for each thread. Once you're viewing a thread, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Locate the option "Track Topic" which appears to the left of the Board Time.

From the page that loads you can select the notification type you want.

Sony updates firmware for A380, A330 & A230 DSLRs

hi guys, sorry im new to dslr. so do we just download the firmware and how to we update into our camera? just got my 330 2 months ago.

From the link, it seems to apply to A230.
Frankly, new firmware is for fixing major issue for any camera.
If there is no firmware, it means the camera already good enough with no major problem or they have already introduce a newer camera to fixed the issue.
Like A700 did not have a successor till now A77. It has noise problem with earlier version. Like when taking night scene at ISO 100, the picture will be grainy. But with with version 4.0, I can take clean and almost no grainy pictures for night scene at ISO 100. Thought ISO 100 is not the native ISO for the sensor. :thumbsup1:
