in Singapore culture, work is like a bullet train !
According to a friend of mine who worked and studied in HK, Singapore pace of life is 'slow'.

Also in response to Rashkae's post. Worse in Japan and Korea, people have leave but none would take it without feeling guilty...

Working pace wise, Singapore is somewhere not too fast or slow.

But when comes to working hours!
I pity the Taiwan engineers...they really have long working hrs. I know many of them work start work at 7am
and end work at 9pm daily! sigh~

Hahahaha!!! Long Holiday!!! How I wish.
I've been working for almost 15 years but then I've no chance of enjoying such a long holiday( more than a month). The longest leave I took normaly 1 week and have to hassle so many interrogation( like commited some serious offence, le ). My admin always asked me to clear my annual leave when come to year end but my boss said you can take your leave and don't come back.
Then it is the wrong boss/dept/company to work for if the Boss can violate your basic rights....

Well, I travel on business during Hari Raya, Devapali, etc. So I claim those also :)
No matter how I criticise my company, HR and Boss, I still luv my job. I've my own freedom with assignment given. Just that the dateline really killing especially coming to year end. Horrible, thats why I got problem to clear my annual leave. ( I don't mind if my leave can change to cash).

I suppose to be greatful tht my company still need me to be around. So don't complain......
